The only loss Steam has is the potential for some to buy the game twice (which not eveyone is willing to do), but they are already competing with every other retailer that lets you redeem game licenses on Steam with or without EGS existing. For all intents and purposes, those license keys should be transferable to Steam. EGS is no different, you are buying licences on there too. Despite not making profits, Steam allows you to use these licenses. Steam does NOT profit from games purchased from stores like Humble Bundle. Steam profits from licenses purchased from the Steam Store. You do not buy games from digital retailers, you buy licenses. Good god, why be such an ass? You're not even right. if you want to have Subnautica on your library you have to buy it from Steam. Publicado originalmente por Blood Eagle97:They are completely separated stores. Get over it and stop supporting the scum that is Epic. It may be the same game from the same developer, but the licensing is through a completely different distributor. Why should Steam give someone a license for the game on their platform when the game wasn't purchased on their platform? Because when you buy from Steam, Steam takes a cut.Īnd when you buy from Epic, Epic takes their cut. Why can't I play my f***ing game on steam AND epic? There is nothing wrong with seeing what IS wrong with this picture. I purchase a game that costs $20 on steam and epic. He wants the game that exists in BOTH LAUNCHERS, to be playable from BOTH LAUNCHERS. He asked if he could transfer the f***ing game over you nitwits. He didn't ask how to purchase a big mac from Burger King. Publicado originalmente por Maniak:So to clarify just how stupid everyone using Burger King as an example is.
